Career/College

At Dallas Community High School, we are dedicated to engaging, empowering, and equipping every student to explore career and college opportunities and plan for life after high school.

Our advisory group teachers and counseling team collaborate to ensure students are well-informed and confident in making decisions about the wide range of pathways available to them. Using Oregon CIS, students create individualized post-secondary plans and set goals that guide their next steps.

Through the E³ model, we provide every student with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to start their journey toward a successful future.

College Visits
Representatives from colleges across Oregon visit Dallas Community High School throughout the year to share information about their programs and opportunities. During these visits, reps meet with small groups of students to discuss academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures.

For information on upcoming visits, please check with our ASPIRE Career Center.

FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Federal student aid is financial assistance provided by the U.S. Department of Education to help students cover the costs of higher education, including college, career school, or graduate school expenses. This aid can be used for various expenses such as tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. Federal student aid is offered in three main categories: grants, work-study, and loans. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens in October and should be completed during a student's senior year of high school to maximize eligibility for financial assistance.
