On-Site Enrichment Classes
At DCS, students can ENGAGE in hands-on learning through optional onsite enrichment classes, offered Monday – Thursday between 9 AM and 1 PM. Taught by licensed educators, these sessions EMPOWER students to explore new interests, apply core learning in creative ways, and develop essential social and emotional skills. Designed to EQUIP learners with real-world experiences, these classes foster collaboration, curiosity, and personal growth.
Friday Experiences & Field Trips
Students ENGAGE in hands-on learning through one-day workshops and offsite field trips led by DCS teachers, staff, and community experts. Workshops EMPOWER students with real-world experiences in cultural studies, bike safety, comic book writing, and more. Each year, we offer eight or more field trips to places like OMSI, museums, pumpkin patches, and rock climbing centers, EQUIPPING students with opportunities to explore, connect, and learn beyond the classroom. Visit the Field Trip and Workshops tab for upcoming events.
