About Community Innovation Partners

At Community Innovation Partners (CIP), we believe learning should spark curiosity, encourage new ideas, and adapt to each student’s needs. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we work to rethink traditional education and expand opportunities that engage students, empower families, and strengthen our community.

Our Story

Community Innovation Partners began with a group of parents who wanted a more flexible and student‑centered approach to learning. In partnership with Dallas School District 2, they created Dallas Community School (DCS)- a public charter school designed around personalized, interest‑driven education.

In 2022, CIP expanded its work by opening Dallas Community High School (DCHS). This program offers real‑world, project‑based learning for students who want a hands‑on and meaningful high school experience.

What We Do

CIP supports innovative education programs that put students first. Our work includes:

  • Supporting schools that prioritize student needs and interests

  • Creating learning opportunities that encourage creativity and curiosity

  • Providing funding and resources to keep education accessible

  • Building partnerships that help students succeed

  • Strengthening our community through education‑focused programs

Leadership & Impact

CIP is guided by a Board of Directors made up of educators, community members, and parents. Their leadership ensures that our programs continue to engage, empower, and equip students with the tools they need for lifelong learning.

At CIP, we are not only rethinking education, we are helping shape a brighter future, one student at a time.
