Field Trip & Workshop Information
The Friday Experiences we provide for our families are an important part of the enrichment program at DCS. We plan trips and workshops that cover many concepts, topics, and learning goals in students’ Personal Learning Plans (PLP), and enhance the learning experiences relating to current DCS classes. We encourage families to add learning goals into their child’s PLP to help them prepare for upcoming experiences and then use the curiosity sparked by the events and workshops to extend their learning in the home environment.
Our Friday Experiences are taught by a combination of DCS staff, amazing community members, and local experts. Through diversity in not just experiences, but also voices, we hope students will be inspired to expand what they imagined possible and dream, innovate, and create for a brighter future. It is our goal that students will imagine the possibilities.
Please see our Field Trip policy and guidelines in the DCS Family Handbook. Transportation is not provided and each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless otherwise noted in the description.
